New Antenatal Clinic About to Open

Water For Africa, based in Stoke-On-Trent, has been instrumental in building a new Antenatal Clinic which is situated in Tallinding Kunjang, in the district of Serrekunda in The Gambia. It will service a population of over 85,000. It is the only one in the local area and it is the first of its kind in offering the highest standards of care to pregnant and nursing women.

his year, Sheryl Greentree, 42, from Stone, Staffordshire has been named Tesco Magazine’s Charitable Mum of the Year 2009. During a chance conversation six years ago Sheryl heard about the plight of a village in The Gambia. This mum of two asked what she could do to help save the lives of families in dire need. Now her charity, Water for Africa, reaches over 80 communities.
