Without the support from companies across the UK, we could not provide and deliver the results that we have to date. From employee fund-raising, to donating, services, goods, time and expertise. We are truly grateful and it is truly indicative of the ethics and values of these organisations that they have given us so much. Our heart felt gratitude to the following inspiring companies.
Samantrix Supports ‘Water for Africa
Water for Africa is delighted to announce the amazing support of ‘Samatrix’ with its work in Africa. A specialist in the industry, we are proud to be associated with an organisation which specialises in our area of focus in providing innovative, long-term water solutions.
Samatrix was formed in 2001 with Samuel Munn (MD) as the only employee. Over the last 10 years the company has grown to become pumping experts with Sam now employing 20 personnel. Alongside Adam Wakefield (Technical Director), Sam has constantly evolved the business, with their technical expertise now recognised throughout the industry.
Samatrix thrives on discovering practices to help the customer find the most cost effective and efficient solutions for their problems. Their services include:
1 / Design & Installation of waste water pumping stations, sewage treatment plants and clean water booster systems.
2 / Service, Maintenance & Inspection. Operating approximately 200 sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment plants including all of Swansea City and Neath Port Talbot sites.
3 / Hydraulic Testing and Diagnostic Analysis for pumping station upgrades and underperforming pumping equipment. Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, Wessex Water and Thames Water are their main customers for this service.
4 / EX Repairs – Samatrix are ATEX approved to carry out repairs within their workshop.Pumps Sales – Samatrix are utility partners for Wilo, Xylem, Sulzer (ABS), Borger and WPL products and therefore have the largest discounts available in the UK
5 / Samatrix as a company have always been supportive of local charities and have participated in many fundraising events over the years. Working in partnership with Water for Africa is one of their biggest charitable ventures to date.
6 / The western world is such a throwaway society and without a second thought so many pumps are unfortunately thrown away. Samatrix will be contributing to our projects by collecting these obsolete, unwanted and faulty pumps from within the industry. Often these pumps are disposed of but we will be utilising our Team in Africa to install, sell or repair these pumps where possible. Furthermore Samatrix’s 40+ years within the pump industry is invaluable to us in terms of key contacts, purchasing power and their technical knowledge of pumps.
Says Sam Munn (Managing Director): “We at Samatrix are very excited to be working alongside Water for Africa. What they have achieved to date is truly inspiring and we look forward to contributing to such a worthy cause.”

Main Supporters :
We are extremely grateful to our high profile patron’s for their time and dedication to supporting our mission.
Jeff Banks is one of Britain’s best known fashion designers who has dominated this countries fashion scene for over thirty years and has received both financial success and critical acclaim. Jeff’s influence and foresight have had a lasting effect on not only the way fashion is designed, but also how is marketed, presented and retailed to the customer. He has also been a major force in promoting British Fashion throughout the world via his fashion and media career, including the phenomenally successful Clothes Show, and was awarded an CBE for his services to fashion and charity in 2009. Jeff Banks does not believe in creating design for the sake of it. It has to fit. Everything that he produces has to fit with this belief. The ethical moral and creative integrity, that goes into making a product comes from the heart. We are delighted that Jeff has chosen ‘Water for Africa as a charity to support.
Television presenter and comedian Nick Hancock and his Iranian born wife Shari, have been supporters of Water for Africa since it’s inception in 2002. Living in Stoke-on-Trent, they work tirelessly to support both local and international charities. Nick has visited Africa for ‘Comic Relief’ on a number of occasions and seen first hand the challenges faced by local communities and as such, he recognises the importance of the work that we do. We are truly grateful and overwhelmed by the support, time and commitment that both Nick and Shari’s have continued to give to Water for Africa over the years.
